Need Good San Diego Hotel

Can anyone give me a recommend for a good, moderately priced hotel or accomodation in/near San Diego around Feb 1-10?

TahitiTams Jan 6th, 2007 04:46 PM

A good moderately priced hotel in San Diego is somewhere between $100-$200 a night..
I suggested some really great hotels for under $150 with ocean views in LJ..
What is your budget?

Or call some hotels that participate in the Entertainment discount program and see if you can get an entertainment rate for those days. If you're staying nine nights, just saving 20bucks a night will more than pay for a membership card which you can get at entertainment.com

CecilBD - Have a look on www.sandiego.org the official visitor website. You can click on where to stay and the area you prefer i.e. downtown if that is what you want and see what is offered. Let us know what you are considering.

There are a lot of good hotel's in/near San Diego. Give us a little more help. Which area do you want to stay in, down town or by the beach?

Are you looking at Feb 1 thru 10 or a few days. Be specific as to what you consider a moderately priced hotel and the class of hotel you are comfortable with.

TahitiTams listed a few places on your other thread and is a local with lots more information, who with others would love to help you out.

Best wishes for a great time in beautiful San Diego.

Thanks, everyone...we stayed last year at the Marriot Residence Inn in La Jolla, and while it was okay, it was not exactly romantic...I will keep all this data on file.

Hey CecilBD..
If you want romance for under $200 the
The Grande Colonial in Downtown La Jolla is wonderful and a block from the ocean and in the heart of village..
I agree that the Marriott Residence Inn is NOT romantic and hate that location as well..
Keep us posted so we all can help you have a wonderful time in SD!

New name and ownership since we last stayed in '04, but agree with t2c re: www.shelterpointe.com - good location and value (great cc cookies each afternoon and close to Thee Bungalow in Ocean Beach).
TT is correct, but bring your "bonus" for George's at the Cove - outstanding.
