need downtown las vegas hotel with secure parking

We will be travelling back home to WA from AZ and will be stopping in downtown Las Vegas for 2 nights.
We are looking for secure parking as we cannot carry all our personal belongings up to hotel room-way too much !
Can anyone recommend downtown hotel or parking lot with security?

The big hotels on the Strip all have secure garages.

Do you really want to stay downtown on Fremont Street..those have garages also

I'm eager to learn the answer to this question. I've never heard of a garage that assumes responsibility for a car and all of its contents.

www.tripres.com good prices.

My fav a little further out on the strip The Strat from $29/nt
Golden Nugget or Ballys downtown best for me no parking will be 100% safe there is more theft risk downtown lots dodgier.

While most of the Resorts have security patrolling their garages, I would not leave personal items in plain sight. In the trunk would probably be fine - and with all the great deals going on right now at the major Resorts/Casinos/Hotels on the strip - who not google away and take advantage of that rather than going to the more dreary/old downtown?

Just double check the quoted rate to make sure you get the bottom line and they don't slip in a $10 to $20 "Resort" fee for things you would not use.

I liked the parking garage at the Fiesta in Henderson. I made a reservation for a cheap room and got there after 9PM and they upgraded me to a suite at the same price.
Make sure nothing of value is visible through your windows.
Be aware of where the security cameras are in the garages.
It is less likely you will get ripped off if a video camera records the theft.

You an;t assume belonging left visible inside the car are safe everywhere. Everyhting yuo want to leave in the car should be in the trunk - BEFORE you get to the hotel. And any place with valet parking shuld be secure. I fyou leave the car in an open lot you are probably OK - but then if anything is lost it goes on your homeowners insurance - not the hotel's.

Vegas has, I think, the 3rd highest crime rate in the nation right now. Take precautions when leaving anything in your car. I don't know about Valet parking, giving some stranger the key to your car with a trunk full of valuables?

I would recommend the Golden Nugget self park garage where their is security at the entrance, and all the hotel management park in there so security is pretty tight and there are survielance cameras. It's also a beautiful property with reasonable rates. Main Street Station is another great choice if you are sure to park in the covered parking area. I know for a fact that it is patrolled regularly by security (pretty sure its hourly). The outside parking is patrolled too but its too close to the street and I don't think there are any cameras there. Don't leave any belongings showing if you can help it. Thieves here are more likely to steal the whole car than just belongings. if you don't have a new or expensive car you're probably fine. Not much consolation huh?

No parking garage will assume responsibility for your car and contents.

...but some places might be better than others at having their security cameras in good working order and co-operating with the police in an investigation. I'd go with the Golden Nuggett, too.

Golden nugget is the only hotel downtown that I would park, and for that matter stay.and stay. garage is patrolled and the security is top notch at the entrance. Unless one is staying at the hotel they can't park.
