Need Condo suggestions for Padre Island needed.
 

Looking for a condo in North Padre Island. Hoping for a firsthand suggestion or a website to check. Even with a SEARCH, didn't get what I need. Any other suggestion is welcome. Thanks in advance.

The place you want to stay is Mustang Island near the town of Port Aransas. There are several condos to choose from, but I can personally recommend the Sandpiper. It is right on the gulf with a beautiful pool, nice rooms, balconies, furnishings, etc. The building next to it is called the Seagull, also condos. Another favorite of Texans is the Port Royal. Most people from out of state are not familiar with Mustang Island, so please keep this to yourself! There are lots of good restaurants in Port A, and Corpus Christi is just a short drive away. Take the ferry over to Port A if possible-short but fun. Check out www.portaransas-texas.com. Have fun!

We stayed at the Port Royal quite a few years ago. When our kids saw the five fabulous pools at this property, they thought they'd died and gone to heaven!

Be sure and check on the beach and condo conditions after Bret. I read in the Dallas Morning News today that Bret washed out large chunks of the beach on Padre Island. Yes, it will eventually come back, but it's a little odd right now.
