Need Bourbon St Hotel for Mardi Gras...
 

in the "thick" of things.....any suggestions?

You're probably too late for the upcoming Mardi Gras, but the Royal Sonesta is on Bourbon and definitely in the thick of things.

Absolutely, agree with Susan--Royal Sonesta. They've even got balconies overlooking Bourbon St. Spent more than a few Mardi Gras Days there with other spouses while our significant others defended their hotel against the masses.

Not right on Bourbon street itself, but very close is the Hotel Ste. Marie. Absolutely lovely! I'd recommend it. The rooms were very nice, the pool was nice, the staff was wonderful.

Randy, book NOW! Most of the really desirable hotels on Bourbon book a full year in advance. You'll probably be able to add your name to a waitlist, however, if you do find that they are sold out.

Bourbon Orleans is right there too.
