Need ballgown -- where in San Antonio to shop?

Looking for a floor-length ballgown for a winter white-tie event, and I will have some time to shop on a trip to San Antonio. Can anyone steer me toward the best stores to try there? Thanks.

Check and see if there's a bridal shop, such as David's Bridal, in that area. As well as wedding dresses, these shops usually carry gowns.

It depends on budget. There's a Saks there that will have a lot but probably expensive. You should phone them and speak to one of the personal shoppers and tell them what you want and see if they have anything. Steinmart is a great discount store that often has nice things. There appear to be 4 or 5 of them in San Antonio.

Town & Country fashions and Darius Cordell are 2 other names that seem to come up a lot in websearches.

I'd start with The Shops at La Cantera. They have Macy's, Dillards, Nordstroms, and Neiman's all in one center.

Is there a Tootsie's in San Antonio? I've found dresses there in Dallas.

Tootsie's is great. They have one in most major TX cities, don't know about San Antonio, though.
