Need advice on what to do in Las Vegas in mid Feb.
I am accompanying my husband on a business trip to Las Vegas the week of Feb 13th. He will be in meetings most of the time, so I'll be pretty much on my own. I've never been there and am not a gambler. Any suggestions of what I can do to fill my days will be greatly appreciated!! We will be staying at the Venetian.

Will you have a car? Do you enjoy nature? Does his company have any tours/trips planned for spouses? Will there be others to explore the area with? Would you be willing to go on one of the tours that abound in Vegas, like Hoover Dam/lake Meade trips, flights to Grand Canyon, etc.
Give a little more information so we have an idea about what would be fun for you.

We're not gamblers, either. We enjoyed wandering through the hotels and seeing the various attractions, the Atomic Testing Museum, Springs Reserve, hiking in Red Rock Canyon, the Hoover Dam. Those last three would be easiest to get to if you rented a car.

If you have a car, also the Valley of Fire State Park and the Lakeshore drive along Lake Mead. The new bridge across the Colorado River has fantasic views of Hoover Dam if you don't want to actually tour the dam. DW and I very much enjoyed the dam tour, but don't miss the view from the b=new bridge.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will not have a car while there. As far as I know, there will be no activities for spouses or others to explore with. I'd planned on wandering through other hotels & had heard that there were museums in the area, but other than that, I've no idea what's available to do. Would like touring Hoover Dam, but am not sure if I'm comfortable doing a lot of driving by myself. I do enjoy some light hiking & scenery. If my husband has some free time, I'd love to see some of the scenery around the area. I've never been in this part of the country. However, it's pretty doubtful that he'll have a very large block of free time.

There is no need to rent a car to go to Hoover Dam - there are van tours you can sign up with, as well as other activities. Just check with your consierge at your hotel for suggestions.
There are a lot of shopping opportunities, at the Venitian and Ceasar's Palace to name a few. Visit The Conservatory at the Bellagio (indoors flower garden), Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, EiffelTower (to the top) at Paris, etc. Numerous spas to choose from, as well as just sightseeing.
Have fun!

There are tons of organized bus trips that will take you to the Hoover Dam, I would recommend doing one of those, it really is amazing.
My favorite thing in Vegas is to walk from casino to casino and each one seems to have free entertainment which hotwheels named, there are also the lions at MGM. The weather should also be amazing when you are there so going outside to see the strip shouldn't be an issue.
At night I would recommend a least going to one show with your husband, there are so many great options there.

Thank you all so much for the replies. Seems like I'll have plenty to choose from & great weather as a bonus!! I hope my husband will have one night available for a show. Would like that too. Good to know that I can do some sightseeing without having to rent a vehicle. I love conservatories and am excited to see all of the other casino's offerings! Thanks, again!

Without a car, the best sightseeing is in the different hotels and casinos on the strip. Watching the Bellagio water show, walking through Ceasar's Forum, the Venetian, Paris, MGM, and many others offer lots, especially for first timers. You may have to take a taxi in between some hotels since some are quite far apart even though they look close by (unless you enjoy walking a whole lot).

The Auto Collection at the Imperial Palace casino is excellent if you like this kind of thing. Same for Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden at the Mirage if you like seeing live animals. Also consider the Conservatory and the fountains at the Bellagio and a visit to the Downtown casino strip area.
