Need advice on luxury inns in wine country.

I am planning a 5 day getaway to Napa and Sonoma, and want to stay in one (maybe 2) luxurious inns. Meadowood and Auberge du Soleil are a bit too expensive. Has anyone stayed at the Kenwood Inn or the Gaige House Inn in Sonoma, or the MacArthur Place or Maison Fleurie in Napa? These are some places we are considering. Any tips are appreciated.
We've stayed at Maison Fleurie twice and have been pleased, very comfortable. It's worth it to upgrade for the bigger bath, etc. They just opened a sister inn named Lavendar - check out Four Sisters Inns to be sure. Friends have stayed at Sonoma Inn & Spa and would definitely return to it. Good luck!

Madronna Manor in Healdsburg (Sonoma Co.) is a lovely old mansion with an excellent restaurant.

A second for Madrona Manor in Healdsburg. We didn't eat there but our room was beautiful, breakfast was delicious and the grounds lovely. Healdsburg is a cute town.

We stayed at both the Maison Fleurie and Kenwood Inn during our Honeymoon 10/97. We absolutely loved the Maison Fleurie. Opt for a spacious suite in the Old Bakery building. I've heard their new Lavendar Inn nearby is exceptional. The Kenwood Inn is exquisite and highly recommended also, however it is a bit noisy and the bathrooms should have spa tubs. However, we did love it there and enjoyed it A place to check out too is the Cottage Grove Inn in Calistoga. This place is a find and incredibly romantic. Please check out our honeymoon website which has detailed info and links on these inns. www.sarong.com/honeymoon.htm

email back if you have questions.
