Need advice on booking tickets

Does anyone know if a travel website called "Avacation" is legitimate?

More advertising????

Am I missing some hidden background info on this poster? Just not sure why two people (see his other post) have accused him of advertising quite so quickly. Yes, rioichiro is a new poster, but all I've seen so far is him trying to verify a company he's considering using (which many people come here to ask) and posting his question twice (a common mistake from newbies.) I could certainly be wrong (in which case consider me scammed!), but as his posts didn't scream ads to me, I was just wondering if I'd missed something?

If this is advertising, count me also as one who has been scammed. I saw the question yesterday and ignored it because I've never heard of Avacation. Googling tells me that the site was launched nearly 4 years ago, but I can't find any sources of comments on it. How did you find this site, rioichiro?

Recently there were some questions about another discounter, and we seemed to find the whole thing was a scam as it was impossible to contact them via their "so-called" telephone numbers, and they didn't answer any emails. So the first thing I'd do is call them and question where they are, how long they've been in business, etc. At least you'll know they're legitimate if they answer a phone!

I found the site through Google as well just searchng for "flights" or "cheap flights" or something.

Sorry to have caused such a stir! I realized now that I should not have titled my first inquiry with the name of the site...I probably would have avoided it too. I posted it a second time with a different title for that reason.

I'm going to bag using that site since no one can give me any real dirt on it.

Thanks for your responses.

I checked a "whois" (posted below) and went to their site .. noticed that each link on their page went to "elnap.com", so I did a whois on that domain too. Phone number "999-999-9999" raised suspicion. My guess is that it's a company that sends out those @#$ spams and faxes "4 days and 2 nights in Orlando for $50!!"

I didn't think riochiro was spamming. Those usually tell us "what I great deal I found on the internet" or some other endorsment ... remember "I go the the airport and wait and wait"???
