Need advice - Charleston girls' weekend

We'll be in Charleston for a girls' weekend in August and would appreciate recommendations on hotels and potential itineraries. As we all have kids at home, this will be a rare getaway for this group and it will be the 1st time for most of us visiting Charleston!

Right now we're considering the Belmond Charleston Place, Mills Place Wyndham or Spectator for hotels. We'd like something nice but want to make sure that it's in a central location that's walkable to shops, restaurants and sights. The Spectator is the most expensive out of the group so curious to know if it's worth it.

In terms of itineraries, we definitely want to see top sights but also want to ensure that we have time for relaxation as well. We also love great restaurants and shopping so are excited to see what Charleston has to offer. Some potential ideas are visiting a plantation, doing a culinary tour, market and spa.

Would appreciate any recommendations on hotels, top restaurants or Charleston must-dos! Thanks!

How many rooms / beds are you looking for and what is the price per night per room?

Will you have cars? Parking fees might be a consideration.

How many nights and days?

There will be 7 of us so looking for 2 rooms. We will have 1 car and will be in Charleston for 3 nights.

Thanks!

The Hampton Inn is across from the visitor's center where the trolley to the historic district leaves from. It might be a good fit for that number.

Youo might want a car (for 7!!) to go to the plantations but not in the District.

We stayed here and thought the location was perfect and the rates were reasonable. The outside doesn't look like much, but the courtyard is so pretty and they have great breakfast included and a [no charge] afternoon happy hour with drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

We enjoyed going to Middleton Place https://www.middletonplace.org/ and also Drayton Hall, which is unique because it is preserved not restored. http://www.draytonhall.org/
