Absolutely! Happy to help you out. The place around the corner has vacancies and are running a super bowl special, $69 per night with full breakfast.

If you're talking about a room for the superbowl, it should be self explanatory what city you are talking about. No need to name the city. Peekaboo thinks he's funny

I've just spent a rather hellish couple of days trying to help my son find a room for the Super Bowl. We finally lucked out and got him a room in McComb. The last place I talked with that had vacancies in NO was the Degas House. 4 night minimum and $600 a night!!

Trish - I have been to four superbowls and rooms near the game are nearly impossible to find... all you can do is:

1. start by looking up New Orleans Visitors and Convention Bureau. Call them and ask if they are offering a roomfinder service for the game.

2. hit all of the "chain" web sites and search for available properties within 50 miles of the game. Try to "hold" a room, even if it's an hour drive away from the game.

3. Once you have secured your backup room, start with non-chain properties right in the city and work your way out.

4. Don't get discouraged, use your city maps for location, the 800 # to save $ on calls, and your web access to get the reservation #.

In two games I attended, late cancellations resulted in rooms that were within walking distance of the stadium. There are hundreds of rooms that are still booked to the cocky, overconfident Steeler fans that will be released in the next three days... you just need to stay on top of the situation....good luck!

Trish - rooms for the Superbowl are booked months ahead. At this late date you should go through a travel agency and pay the going rate. Hunting for a room on your own will probably be fruitless.

garyt's advice is really good but it won't guarantee getting a place. Late cancellations are your best bet, but finding one may be a full time search. If you have game tickets you need to find a room asap, so contact a good travel agent or event ticket agent who handles packages. Good luck.

I have so many phone numbers written down that I'm not sure if this is the right one, but I think it'll give you names of any accommodations remaining in NO for the Super Bowl. Give it a try

Hey Steeler Fan - If You could play back all the comments you made in the week prior to the Championship Game, can you honestly tell me you gave N.E. even a shred of a chance? I'm surrounded by Steeler Fans from our corporate office who celebrated a bit too early and are now cancelling their reservations in the Big Easy. I know its painful... I'm a Bills Fan...

There are still rooms available here in Baton Rouge which would be an hour drive to New Orleans. Try Baymont Inn & Suites 877 229-6668, Best Western 225 924-6500 and Corporate Inns 800 695-0077. Most double rooms in these hotels are going for around $60-$90 per night.

garyt - I knew you had to be a Bills fan when you said you had been to FOUR Super Bowls. I was at those same four. Wouldn't you love to get back there just once more? Trish, we always booked our rooms in the last week and always found something. Have you tried a AAA book and just calling each hotel?

Steeler Fans - this isn't about CROWING...it's about eating Crow...
Don't forget, the Bills fans had to live through that "music city miracle" home-run throwback after we had the Titan's beat with just 16 seconds left in the game... I'm on your side...I know it hurts, don't be pickin fights because you're wounded... there's only six months to go before training camp!

Speaking of training camp... look out for the Redskins with Spurrier as their head coach, I hear the first thing he plans to do is change their name...
