need a hote in san franscio
for mid december. Would like a convient location and 4 star I guess
|
What do you mean by convenient location: Downtown, Financial District, Wharf and how much are you willing to spend. Shar
|
4 star on what kind of scale (4 or 5)?
What location? Convenience depends on where you'll be spending your time. |
I don't think there are any 4 star hotes in san franscio available in mid december IMHO. They book early.

jor - LOL!

My husband and I go to the City a lot for overnighters. We like the Harbor Court and the Griffon Hotels which are located near Market and the Embarcadero near the Hyatt and near the Ferry Building. They are small Euorpean style hotels. Both are 4 star and have great restaurants in them and within walking distance is Boulevard and several smaller restaruants. It is easy to get around with the Bart system right there, the trolley cars that run the embarcadero, and other public transportation on Market.

plenty of great 4* rooms can be booked via Priceline (go to Biddingfortravel.com for help and book via amazing-bargains.com). We like staying in Union Sq and SOMA. We stayed at the Hilton via PL for $65 and the Marriott for $60, both of which are 4*. Enjoy!

He/she's ba-a-a-a-a-ack.... Let's all run to "Union Sqaure"!! The same verbatim postings of misinformation, same mispellings, same foolishness.
One more time, for the benefit of rnbtr: Union Square is FINE. It's not unsafe-- however, the transition to the Tenderloin gets you into a rough area. It's no worse than any other large city in the US. It's no worse than Times Square. It's no worse than Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Use a bit of common sense. "Tobin" seems to think anyone visiting a large city must be a fraidy-cat ninny. |
You can't go wrong with the Westin St. Francis on Union Square.
Do a search here under "san francisco" for lots of information. |
We got the Hilton on Priceline for $65 over Memorial Day weekend. We loved Union Square. Restaurants, bars, shopping.
Yes, the homeless are a pests, but don't make eye contact, say no, and keep walking. They never bothered us. Union Square is also convenient to all sorts of public transportation to get around town. ((b)) |
My husband and I stayed at the Westin St. Francis in June and walked down to the San Francisco Mall on Sunday. Yes, we saw homeless people but were not accosted by any of them. In fact, not one of them even spoke a word to us. The only person to bother us was a San Fran resident who went into a tirade about why were we walking around in that area, didn't we know it isn't safe and we should get out while we still have our lives. This clean-shaven, well-dressed suburbanite scared us more than any of the homeless people. His over-the-top ranting was truly scary! We thought he was going to pull out a gun and pistol whip us for enjoying ourselves in downtown San Francisco.

Devinson uses a dozen different names to post the same trash over and over, usually bashing SF since he's jealous that he lives in unheralded San Jose.
Consider his comments seriously at your own peril. |
The Tuscan Inn on Fisherman's Wharf is nice and reasonably priced. There is a cable car turnaround only a few blocks away. It's not the typical Hilton or Holiday Inn.
|
I knew it had to be the same guy, regardless of the name on the post. How many people don't know that a q is generally followed by a u? Oops - now I've tipped him off. Darn.
|
An emoticon for the multiple poster! What a great idea!
How about ((N)) He really knows how to spoil the fun on these postings! :( Jason, and ONLY Jason |
Now that most of Devinson's garbage has been deleted (they actually missed a couple) you have become Gannet (15 aliases and counting). Fodors is going to get REAL tired of your stupid games and may pull the plug on the entire forum. Then what will you do for fun?
|
Isn't it past your bedtime?
Do your parents know you're using their computer? No adult with an actual life would waste so much time on postings that are repeatedly deleted (unless of course you're simply mentally handicapped or in prison. How sad for you). |
You "two" ahem may want to pick different threads before someone, you know, catches on. :& |
"Just how do keep track of them?"
I dunno How do????? |
