Nearest airport to Ragged Point/San Simeon

Hi,

We are planning on taking a flight to Las Vegas. We will be starting from Ragged Point near San Simeon on Big Sur. Which is the nearest airport from that location? Is it Santa Barbara?

Thanks.

Closest commercial airport with flights to Vegas will be Santa Barbara or Monterey, depending on which direction you are heading. Monterey is closer, but a longer drive if you are on the 1 because it's a little bitty twisty road on the cliffs and often is fogged up so driving is slow.

Paso Robles and Morro Bay both have airports but I don't think they have commercial service.

If you plan on heading north on the 1, San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria both have commmercial flights. SLO is closer, and is a good start on 1 north.

They would be the closest from the South. I know at least S.M. has flights to and from Vegas.

Hi All,

Thanks for your response. SLO would be the most convenient location for us and there are flights to Vegas.

Why don't you "Google" the various airports. Their web site should tell you what airlines fly from there and to where.
