Are there any Whole Foods markets or naural foods groceries in the area of LBK or AMI? My husband needs gluten-free item - expecially bread and we will be there 10 days. Thanks.

It's been about 10 years since I've been to AMI, so this isn't the most recent info. But....

There used to be a natural grocery in Bradenton.

I'm told there's a Whole Foods store in downtown Sarasota now.

There is a Whole Foods store in downtown Sarasota which would be fine if you are on LBK but might be out of the way from Anna Maria. There is also a Publix market on Bradenton Beach which is just south of Anna Maria and they may carry the bread items you are looking for. I believe that there is also a health food store on Manatee Ave. west which is the road that goes out to Anna Maria. They would probably carry these items too. Sorry but I can't remember the name or exact location of it though. Maybe another poster will be able to help with that.

There's a fairly new Publix on AMI near the Manatee bridge that possibly would carry this.

These are fairly easy to reach and possibly you could stop there on your way out Manatee ave to your first night's stay. I think Manatee is Rt 64 that extends from I-75 out to the island.
