National Parks Southern United States end of March/April
 
which scenic national parks and other pretty nature areas do you recommend in the southern united states (NOT in these states: Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Tenessee, California)

In New Mexico there are many parks lncluding White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, Bandelier. Aztec Ruin, elMorro/Inscription rock, Chaco Canyon to name a few.

check www,nps.gov and click on find your park.

California has Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley, the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the Mojave National Preserve

We have 5-6 more days in March. Where are you starting from? My suggestion is to fly to New Orleans and go from there east or west.
