National Parks - check out this deal
Probably mostly everyone knows about the National Parks Senior Pass that cost $10 and gives you if 62 years of age or older and all in your car of any age free entry to all of the parks for a lifetime. Now there is something (almost) new. It is called Kids in the Park. Any kid now in the 4th grade can get a pass for free, giving free entry to all parks for the kid and as with the senior pass, all in the car, until August 31 2016. If the kid will be entering the 4th grade in September, the same deal will be available good for free entry until August 31, 2017. It may also be extended to 3rd graders at some time.

Fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing it. I've forwarded the information to a half dozen people with kids who're planning summer travel to national parks.

Geez, I didn't know about the "Old Geezers Pass." I'm in! Now Tracy won't be so sad about marrying an "old guy." Thanks!

maitai, the geezer's pass is the biggest bargain in the USA. We have used the heck out of it. It works in NPs, National Monuments, etc. You can be a sport and treat your younger friends.
