National Park Fees
 

Do you have to pay a fee for every national park you enter or can you buy an all inclusive pass? We will be visiting Yosemite, Zion, Bryce, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon, if you can buy just the one pass to cover them all would that be our cheaper option?

I think it is $80 for a year--gets you into all NPs as well as other federally managed sites--BLM etc. You can buy one at any NP entrance gate--that's what I do. Just buy it at the first park you visit. Otherwise it is usually $25 a park.

Yosemite, Zion Bryce and Grand Canyon as well as hundreds or other National parks, monuments, seashores, etc are all covered under the America the Beautiful pass which is $80 and is good for a year for a regular car and its occupants. If you are a US citizen and over 62yrs, you can get a lifetime pass for the parks for $10, a true bargain.

Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, the Four Corners, and some other parks are Navajo Parks and charge a fee.

There are also state parks which charge fees.

I would include Arches National Park. I like it far better than Monument Valley(although certainly Monument Valley is worth a visit). Also, Goblin Valley State Park is one of my very favorite spots in Utah.

Sequoia National Parks isn't that far from Yosemite. While the trees at Yosemite are totally amazing, I like the ones at Seqouia even better. Yosemite is not to be missed!!

Are you a senior? We bought a senior pass several years ago and it good for life(a great deal).

There's a catch -- the Senior Pass is usable ONLY by U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents. I can't determine Sharone's citizenship but, if the OP does not have a U.S. passport or Green Card, the OP will not be able to get that type of pass.

No, not a senior or US citizen, we will be visiting from the UK. When I looked at the link given above it looks like you can only buy the yearly pass if you are in America (the price was in dollars and it didn't look like they post to other countries).
Perhaps we can buy something that will cover all the places we will be visiting at the point of entering the first NP we will be going to which is Yosemite.

You can absolutely buy them at the park entrance; just be sure to buy it at the first park you enter to et maximum benefit.

All National Parks and Monuments are free this upcoming 3-day holiday weekend, Veterans Day Weekend. Sat Nov 9, Sun Nov 10, Mon Nov 11.

Entry fees are waived for all visitors (but other fees like camping still apply).

If you click on DebitNM's link you will see a button "buy now". Try if you can do it with your credit card. The bank will convert the currency.

If not, you can buy the annual pass at most, if not all, national parks. You need one pass per family/car (not one pass per person).

There really is no point in buying the pass online. It is easily obtained at the entry to any park. That way the foreign exchange thing and foreign credit card issue is moot.

Just wait til you enter your first park. Easy peasy.

I agree, buy the annual pass at the first park you enter. I do it almost every year.
