Natchez Hotel

Hi-

We are planning on visiting Natchez MS this summer for a couple days and would love some hotel recommendations. We have 2 boys (10 & 13) and would like to stay at a nice hotel meaning, very clean, comfy and close to the attractions. I am willing to spend up to $150 (at the most) for a nice hotel. Any recommendations on where to stay and places to visit would be wonderful.

Thanks!

When I visited Natchez about six years ago when my niece and nephew were a little younger than your boys, we stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Natchez, and it looks like it still gets good reviews.

I remember our room was spacious - plenty of room for the two kids, my sister and myself - comfortable and clean, with a view out over the river. I'm sure we ate our breakfast there, though I have no recollection. (Dinners in town were great.) Of course if you're looking for something with a local character, that a Hampton Inn is not!

The hotel is a little on the edge of town, right on the river by a park and across the street from the visitor center. However, the walk a few blocks uphill and into town was totally fine and didn't take long at all.

Some of the antebellum mansions are B&B's.

We enjoyed our visit to Natchez. But my favorite was the Plantation we stayed at: www.monmouthplantation.com
