Nashville sights

Hi,

We're going to be in Nashville in early March. We've been before and have seen the big sights. Wondering if anyone has something that is out of the norm that is a don't miss?

Thanks.

We visited the big Civil War battlefield in Franklin and found it very interesting (and Franklin’s gotta cute Main Street). The drive back through Leiper’s Fork (in lieu of all freeway) is gorgeous.

tjw61, fwiw, here is my TR from 2017: https://www.fodors.com/community/uni...ville-1555688/

Mine was an art trip and a visit to relatives, so that may be different? Enjoy your second trip.

If you haven't ever done the tour of the Ryman, it's fascinating and well worth the time. Depending on the time of year, eat breakfast at The Loveless Cafe and then drive a bit down the Natchez Trace parkway and get off at the Leipers Fork exit a few miles down. Leipers Fork is adorable with just a handful of shops and a few restaurants but worth the time. (check the hours of the shops and restaurants before you go though as they can be seasonal.)

What do you mean by the "big sights"...Country Music Hall of Fame, Grand Ole Opry? I second the suggestion of touring the Ryman and eating at the Loveless Cafe. Some other suggestions are Andrew Jackson's home, The Hermitage, music at the Bluebird Cafe, Belmeade Plantation, Belmont, and great barbeque. Enjoy!

I agree about Ryman and Loveless Cafe. Both are great. Prince's Hot Chicken or Hattie B's is also a great culinary challenge if you're up for it! :)

Everything I've heard about the Ryman has been wonderful. Loveless Cafe is great.

We also toured the Ryman - definitely worth it!
