Nashville - Music with children
I'm visiting Nashville in July with my family - the children are aged 13 and 9. We would like to take in some live music whilst we are there. Any recommendations for places where it's OK to take kids?

The Station Inn allows kids and has no smoking. It is the premier bluegrass club in Nashville. Aside from that you could try the Family Laundry.
Good luck. |
We took our girls to the Wild Horse Saloon. They serve food and have some live entertainment. We went early and the girls learned how to line dance. We were there on a week night( I think it was a Monday) and there was no entertainment that night outside of the line dance instructor. It was fun though. The kids were about 9 and 11 when we went. We also did the General Jackson dinner cruise. They had singing and dancing and we ate dinner while we watched.

Have you looked into getting tickets for the Grand Ole Opry. My then 7-year old loved it!

Thanks for the replies. Looks like there are plenty of options for us. We are from north-west England and our trip will take us from Nashville through Memphis and St Louis and on to Chicago. We want to make sure we make the most of our time in each location and you can't go to Nashville and not see some live music!

If you don't mind paying for the tickets, the Grand Ole Opry is a lot of fun! I prefer to sit toward the front of the balcony. Kids can get a good view of everyone on stage, instruments, etc. from there.
Have fun in Nashville! |
