Nashville Hotels
Anyone have a suggestion for a hotel in Nashville. I will visiting in November for a football game & was looking for something in the middle of it all, without having to rent a car.

It doesn't need to be the Inter-Continental calibur, but I don't want a Days Inn either!

Most of downtown is within walking distance of the football stadium. I would try the Courtyard by Marriot on Fourth Avenue. Also, there's a Doubletree downtown. Both are close to the Ryman and the Wildhorse Saloon, also (if you're into that). Plenty of restaurants. If you can get a shuttle downtown, you won't need a rental car.

Thanks!

Are there any bars/clubs downtown that aren't country. Maybe rock?

Try the Renaissance (owned by Marriott) downtown. We booked a line through Priceline for approximately $85 a night. It's a 5 minute walk to bar area and 10-15 walk to football stadium. PS: there's a blues area (Printers Alley) with a few bars, etc. that is actually only a couple of blks from the hotel. It was our first time in Nashville this Summer and actually had a very enjoyable weekend!

Last summer we stayed at a brand new Embassy Suites that was really nice and had free shuttle service.

We've stayed at the Grand Ole' Oprey Hotel a couple of times - very nice.
