Nasal spray in purse for flight?

I have some prescription nasal sprays for allergies. Can I bring these on the plane in my purse or carryon? I haven't flown in a while so that;s why I am asking. Thanks.

They will have to be shown to TSA agent.

"You may bring all prescription and over-the-counter medications (liquids, gels, and aerosols) including KY jelly, eye drops, and saline solution for medical purposes."

"Please make sure your medications are properly labeled with a professionally printed label identifying the medication and manufacturer's name or pharmaceutical label. The prescription medicine must match the name on the passenger's ticket.

You are not limited in the amount or volume of these above items you may bring in your carry-on baggage. However, if these items are in containers larger than three ounces , please perform the following:

Separate these items from the liquids, gels, and aerosols in your quart-size and zip-top bag.
Declare you have the items to one of our Security Officers at the security checkpoint.
Present these items for additional inspection once reaching the X-ray. These items are subject to additional screening."

I had my contact solution tossed in the trash because it was in a container larger than 3 oz. That was at an airport outside the US though, so maybe different interpretation of the rules.

I now FedEx contact lense saline and disinfection solution to my destination, as there is no guarantee that the product I use will be available in the local pharmacy. I do not trust that my checked baggage will make it to my destination on time, so this is a system for ensuring I have a sufficient supply when I arrive. Since this past September, I have sent these items to Asolo (Italy), Santa Fe, Sarasota, Virginia Beach, and Scottsdale. On Monday, I will FedEx my package to Biras Creek, on Virgin Gorda. What a pain! It's expensive, too. Needless to say, I am exploring laser surgery.

DebitNM - thanks for the info about TSA regulations... we don't usually hear about this exception to the rule. I'm gonna try it next week, when I fly to Tortola.

My contact solution made it TO Kingston, just couldn't bring it home.. so no big deal.
