Naples theatre

Can anyone tell me which show they are putting on at the theatre in Naples this December? Last year when were there we saw 'Annie' & it was lovely, so we would like to go again this year.

Hi DianeC, you should keep this thread topped as I know when Neopolitan sees it he will have the answer as he is an actor at the Naples Theater.

Thanks Love italy, I love it as well! Can't seem to find any info on the theatre, but know I found it on the net last year.

Hi Diane, I emailed your thread to Neo so imagine he will respond when he sees it. Enjoy!!

I can't believe I missed this post before!
Thanks, LoveItaly for emailing it to me.

At first I was about to say, the December show (actually November 22 to December 16) is Wait Until Dark. And I'm directing it.
I've just cast it with a really wonderful cast and we start rehearsals in two weeks.

But then I realized you aren't talking about the Naples Players on Fifth Avenue at the Sugden Theatre.
Since you mention Annie last year, you must be talking about the Naples Dinner Theatre. They will be doing South Pacific in November and on until December 10, then on December 14 they will open Sugar, the musical version of Some Like it Hot.
Their website is www.naplesdinnertheatre.com

So if your schedule works out, come see both!

thanks Neo, we will try & see both. South Pacific is one of my favourites, I have also seen 'Wait until dark', at the Windsor theatre near us.

Just looked at the link & it wasn't that theatre we visited, it was in a very modern building with statues etc, about 5-10 minutes from the Ritz Carlton, but the name escapes me!

Ah. Perhaps it was at the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts in Pelican Bay? They bring in package tours there. I wasn't sure when they last did Annie at the Naples Dinner Theatre so guessed it was there as I knew it wasn't at the Sugden -- the Naples Players.

Their website is www.thephil.org. They do more concerts and personal appearances than Broadway musicals -- but they do bring in some of those -- including Molly Ringwald in Sweet Charity in January this year -- and also
the annual production of The Nutcracker by the Miami City Ballet.

Thanks Neopolitan, but don't really fancy what they have on in December. We will probably go to yours & maybe the dinner theatre, as can't resist South Pacific!
