Naples Florida

Has anyone stayed at the Edgewater or Registry before? If so which did you like better?

I prefer the Edgewater because it's smaller, friendlier, right on the beach and it's much closer to downtown Naples. The dining room, on the top floor overlooking the beach, is excellent. I was there a year ago.

I have stayed at the Registry 3 times and Love it....

Jitney service to the beach thru a nature preserve...

Going during spring break with our teen, sounds like both hotels are nice but would one of them be better with a teen or not?

there is a childrens program at the Registry that is from 4-12...so not applicable for your teen..

BUT the beach at the Registry ( of which you need to take a 10 min tram thru the nature park) has all types of water sports that you can rent daily--ie. those huge paddle bikes, windsurf, sailing etc..but it is NOT owned by the hotel , so there is a charge...

There is also Tennis at the resort...
There is a full gym and they also give courses in scuba and snorkeling--all for a fee...

Here are the rates for the beach activities:

Have no idea what else a teenager would need other than other teens to mess around with and that has to do with what time of year you go to the resort...

Here is a link to the Edgewater;
http://services.worldweb.com/tourism...e=PegasusHotel

They do not state any kid's program but they are an all=suite property and I imagine they would have more families...

But every time we were at the Registry, there were tons of kids IN the pool and AT the beach...

Can't help you any more than that....

Thanks, I appreciate the information. You're right all she needs is to have some other teens there that she can hang out in the ocean with. It sounds like the Registry has more to offer yet you get a suite with full kitchen at the Edgewater. It's a toss up. Thanks for the info. and we will be there during spring break in March.
