NaPali boat tour -vs- Kauai Helicopter tour -vs- both???
Any input on the above? We definetly have plans to do a 90 minute helicopter tour of Kauai with someone (Jack Harter or Air Kauai????). Will we get motion sick easily? Should we also do a Napali Coast boat tour, and if so, with whom?

Thanks for all the info.

We took the helicopter and boat tour and then drove to the top in '92 and each was a different perspective--each awesome. Take the Helicopter tour EARLY to see all the waterfalls. Have fun.

Aloha Scott, We took the helicopter tour in January. I loved it but my husband was bothered by motion sickness, he also gets sea sick easily. Have a grtat trip.

Scott, I haven't taken a helicopter tour in Hawaii during any of our trips because I have a problem with motion sickness. I would say if you get car sick, seasick, you'd have a problem. Good friends of ours flew with Jack Harter - said it was wonderful. Harter's office fed my friend a banana before hand to help fend off motion sickness. I know that he has an excellent safety record, which would be a big concern for me, seeing as how there have been some accidents with helicopters involving some well-known companies there.

I took a helicopter tour on Hawaii to see the volcanos. I get sea sick on boats but had no problem with the helicopter. I think it depends on how susceptible you are to motion sickness. I get sea sick on whale watching boats but the helicopter is different. It's more like a smooth roller coaster.

John, Thank you for your comments. I've always assumed a helicopter ride would make me sick because I get so car sick at times. Maybe not- When you went on whale watching cruises, was this on regular boats or one of the new "Navateks" in Hawaii? I was even leery of those (supposed to virtually wipe out motion sickness), but my husband went and had a wonderful time!

Thanks!
