All the neg. responses must come from Napa NIMBY's or I'm getting in the middle of something. The wine train is definitely worth it and is equal to dining at a fine hotel. I recommend the lunch train as the best value. It is not necessary to be a wine drinker as all types of beverages are offered. I also recommend the second seating so you don't have to rush thru your meal. It is true the locals were against it but that doesn't make it a negative experience. I've been on the train 3 times and plan to again. Check out the wine train website for events.

It is especially nice in the spring, when the mustard is in bloom.
An absolute ripoff, totally boring, don't waste your money.

Maybe I enjoyed it because it was for work (during work hours).
That probably added to the experience...

Nope..don't do it. There are so many really good restaurants in the Napa Valley where you can eat a far better meal for about the same price.
