Any first hand recommendations for the various one-day package deal wine tours of the Napa/Sonoma area?

I've done some online checking and there seem to be numerous options starting around $85.00 pp and going upwards from there.

Several posters have mentioned Platypus Tours. We've used them a few times and have been very pleased.

Thanks elnap29. I see you've recommended them several times. Couldn't find any other poster's recommendations for them (but with this new format I'm having trouble finding anything!). Glad to hear you liked them, especially since I think they were one of the more reasonably priced tours. Just curious--how did you know you would see different wineries each time?

Any one else have any experience with Platypus or any other company for comparison?

You can talk to them about where you'd like to go and where you've already been. We don't have any experience with any other tour companies, so I can't compare. But they take small groups, are friendly and flexible.

starrs--that looks very interesting, but I'm afraid it's just a tad (a very big tad--whatever a "tad" is) more than we were planning on spending!
