napa weather tomorrow

Taking a very short trip to Napa and Sacramento tomorrow. The forecast shows highs of about 57 and lows in the upper 30s. Is it damp and chilly or more balmy right now? Just trying to decide what jacket to take.

Not balmy & not damp - very chilly at night. A little breezy also.

I live just south of San Francisco

Whether you consider this "balmy" probably depends what the weather is at home. For us in San Francisco, highs of 57 are pretty much the coldest it gets (I walked from my car to my office today in a wool pea coat, wool scarf and leather gloves -- does that give you an idea how wimpy we are when it comes to cold?) Stu is right,it windy, dry and, to us, cold, right now.

Everyone in the Sacto area arrived at work this morning saying it was very cold. The sun was out but there is a breeze that blows the cold air into you. Not balmy by any stretch.

Ditto what everone said. I'm in Sonoma County. About 3:30 PM you will feel the chill begin even standing in the sun. Yesterday I was out in a cotton turtleneck and a microfleece pullover. Jacket, with wool liner, scarf, hat and gloves in tow. Will be the smae all week. Lows this week are in the low 30's. We don't quite begin to recover until around 9AM. Yes, we are weather wimps !

I am in San Jose and we are generally a little warmer down here, but it is darned chilly. Even at noon, I went to lunch without my jacket and was cold on the way to the car, even though I have on a sweater, long skirt, and tights. It isn't a damp cold though, things are pretty dry.

Thanks you guys. That settles it; I am taking my leather coat!

One more thing...we are eating at Ristorante Allegria in Napa. How dressed must I be?

Business or Pleasure ?
Lunch or Dinner ?

I see alot of nice jeans and boots this time of year, blue, black, trendy grey and cords.
Great sweaters. Some business casual during the week. Be comfortable.Napa isn't fancy, (unless the invitation
expresses it,LOL?)

Have fun !

Drink some wine,in your leather coat, and don't worry about the weather in Napa. It's always nice.

Sounds good to me! I leave in 9 hours!

While today was "chilly" in Sacramento - there was brilliant sunshine so after the winds died down mid-morning it was really pretty nice. Got up to about 58º and felt 60-ish. Tomorrow is supposed to be a couple of degrees cooler and partly cloudy. No rain or fog expected.

Definitely chilly in Napa.
And the bone-chilling cold begins by 4PM. It's really beautiful out, but when the sun goes down, you will really feel the difference.

Napa is beautiful! Thanks for your advice. The leather coat was just right. It did get pretty chilly! The restaurant was nice and surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. I defintely want to go back and take my time to look around, do the vineyards, etc.

Happy Holidays to everyone!
