yes...but Kal, I just returned from Burgundy France. I may never drink another Ca Chard again....
|
More for me! ;)
|
Went to Rombauer Vineyards yesterday.
Got a few bottles of chardy. Chilling as we speak. A great welcome home present for Mrs Kal. >:D< |
OO Rombauer be veddy veddy good! Ferrari-Carrano's reserve Chard is delicious as well. I didn't drink many whites for a long time and lost the feel for them....I find that so many are bitter and over-oaked (is that a technical term?) Some are too much oak AND bitter and they are nasty. The French ones (and we had MANY) were a little more earthy and paired better with food. I'm going to start searching for more CA ones. Rick has a case of Rombauer in the office and every time they book a million or more dollar deal it's party time. They call them "Rombauer Moments!"

We came back with a case of Fiddletown Zin and a mixed case of chards and Napa Zins.
Well, it's a chard short after last night.:-d I still have a few Proprietor's Cabs and Zins for special occasions. My buddy has never been to Romabauer and was going to give his Napa friend a piece of his mind for them not taking him and his wife there before. |
we are headed to Napa in the fall. Regarding the tastings-do I need to make a reservation; how much do they usually charge for a tasting;how do I make the reservation-call, email, fax; how do you get around to the different wineries-drive, take a bus, tram; walk, get a driver.
Thanks for any help |
I'd get the names of the places you want to visit and check out the websites or call them because it varies.
