Napa/Sonoma accomodations

We are planning a girls getaway to Napa & Sonoma Wine country at the end of Sept. beginning of Oct. We are going to San Fran for 2 days, Napa for 2 days and Sonoma for 2. I am looking for hotel recommendations. Would like to be within walking distance to restaurants and some activities yet still have a view and the feel of being in the middle of wine country. Hope someone can help. Thanks

Healdsburg Hotel is rightin the center of town and there are several tasting rooms within walking distance as well as some excellent restaurants.

The hotel has package deals.

My husband & I stayed in a lovely B&B called The Grapeleaf Inn in Healdsberg. We really enjoyed the town.

The Inn at Sonoma is an excellent idea. Those who recommend Healdsburg are assuming you meant Sonoma CONTY. Did you?

I prefer the town of Sonoma because there are so many good restaurants around the Plaza, and also wine tasting venues.

I second the Healdsburg Hotel - very charming town with one of the best restaurants (Cyrus) within walking distance.

I like Calistoga for the mud baths and walkability of the town after a day of wine tasting.

Saw an article about this place recently and location is great - short walk to Sonoma Town Plaza and also easy drive into Napa Valley.

Don't forget the fine Oregon cheese from the seaside cottage area. Ahh... those wine and cheese receptions.

The Hotel Healdsburg is very nice, we had a great room there with a balcony, king bed and a 6' soaking tub, breakfast is included with your room, Dry Creek Kitchen is there, also. :)

In Yountville, the Villagio Inn & Spa is lovely and they have just completed their new spa. Lots of great amenities here and the property is walking distance to REDD, Ad Hoc and Bistro Jeanty, some of the finest restaurants in the area. Enjoy! ***kim*** ((#))

We stayed at the Haydon Street Inn in Healdsburg in March. It's a few blocks to the numerous fabulous restaurants in Healdsburg, and the breakfasts and wine hour were just wonderful!
