Napa Lodging Question

I am considering one of these hotels/B&Bs for a vacation in August with my wife and in-laws:

1. La Maison Fleurie
2. Scott Courtyard
3. El Bonita

Above all else, we want peace and quiet and proximity to towns. Need to be under $200 a night and preferably with a pool. Finally, any word on whether it's better to stay in St. Helena, Yountville or Calistoga? Thanks!

Clemm:

Last year my husband and I visited wine country.
We stayed at the Hennessey House which is situated right in downtown Napa. It is a beautiful Victorian with spacious rooms with private baths. The decor is Victorian to the towels on the bath racks. The service was excellent and the breakfasts were gourmet. My husband and I stayed in a rather large room with a canopy bed and a large bathroom with a stained glass window. The room was 185 per night. There are more and less expensive rooms. It is withing walking distance to many very good restaurants and withing a thirty minute max driving distance to all of the vineyards and adjacent towns. The only drawback was it didn't have a pool. But, I doubt you'll find that a popular commodity of B&B's. Hotels??? I don't know if you want to do a hotel in this part of the state...you want to feel pampered there.
Good luck.
Jen

Yountville is in the middle of the valley and a nice location. We stayed at Yountville Inn ($175/night) last May and loved it. Would go back in a heartbeat. Great breakfast served every morning.

My choice for a central location within walking distance to town (St. Helena in the middle of Napa Valley) would be El Bonita, a kind of retro motel. Only warning is that some of the rooms are noisy in the early morning with truck traffic on hwy 29. Another cute and not so expensive place is the St. Helena Hotel--same traffic warning. Lots of smaller B&Bs though. Look at www.napavalley.com
