Napa Hotels

Has anyone stayed at the Embassy Suites in Napa Valley? If so, would you highly recommend the hotel or are there others you would prefer over it?

I suggest you go to www.biddingfortravel.com and bid on a hotel in Napa. We did that a few years ago, go the Marriott at an unbelievable price - great place, too.

I stayed there with a friend who was attending a conference at the hotel. It was perfectly fine but I wouldn't "highly" recommend it. It certainly serves it's purpose but doesn't have much personality at all. I would say it looks a bit nicer in photos than in person.

I have stayed there twice but it was a few years ago. The breakfasts were good and they served some nice appetizers in the evening (which went down especially nice with a bottle of great chardonnay that we had purchased while tasting earlier in the day).

I have to agree with kwil. It is a perfectly fine place to hang your hat but not "highly recommended". It really depends what you are looking for and how much it is costing you.

For a few $$$ more, I prefer Yountville Inn due to its location and nearby restaurants. They due run mid week specials that you might find are very close to the rates at Embassy Suites.

We've stayed there twice, once long ago for T'giving when it was some other "suites" name and once as an Emb Suites.

Typical Emb Suites. Very nice place but as mentioned above, you may be able to do better in NV especially up in Yountville.
