Sigh! So many wineries, so little time!

Here are some of my suggestions:

Go to Artesa first thing when you get to the south end of Napa Valley. Then as you cruise up Highway 29, stop off at V Sattui and Grgich Hills where you can pick up some wines sold only at their wineries. St Supery is fun for the "smello-vision" display and Cakebread has always been one of our favorites. Last time we were in Napa Valley, we stopped off at Trefethen and found a new love.

In Sonoma County, I'd suggest Armida or Raymond Burr (by appointment only) for lovely valley views. Raymond Burr has only 14 acres of grapes, but they make some really good wine.

We just returned from two wonderful days in Napa Valley. V. Sattui was really fun, we always pick up some Gamay Rouge while we're there. You may also want to stop in at Peju where you can taste some really good wines, a very pretty tasting room, also. We loved their white Carnival wine which we purchased. :)

Costentino was also very nice, located next door to Mustard's in Yountville. Nice Sauv Blanc here and we also purchased some of their Viognier dessert wine.

Domaine Chandon is a gorgeous place to wine taste, we had a complimentary glass of wine out on the patio before our lunch at REDD. Cheers! ***kim*** ((f))

When in Healdsburg... go to Farrari Carano..gardens are lovely. Then since you are thinking of Bella, stop at Preston which is right behind Ferrari Carano on the way to Bella. Preston is a local favorite. Try their Barbarra!! I'd skip Raymond Burr.......they're rather rude these days... Lots of great restaurants around the square in Hbg..tasting rooms too.

If you have not yet chosen a place to stay in this area I would recommend El Pueblo Inn in the Town of Sonoma. Great location, very nice accomodations and within driving distance to all wineries in Sonoma and Napa.

We just sampled a new batch of Stag's Leap Cab and it was yummy. Ditto for Frank Family- and such a fun stop. We talked to the owner for a while. I guess I'm the sole voice on this board who absolutely can't handle V Sattui. Sure, it's a cute place and they have yummy food, but the place is SO jam packed with tourists and even kids. You get elbowed and pushed inside the tasting room and the picnic grounds are swarming and the traffic noise doesn't help. I just don't get it.
