Me? I don't even know who this poster is, nor do I recall ever posting to her. Don't think so, but with all the other acccusations I've been getting lately, perhaps so?
However, it's kind of hard to overlook my comment above about a "troublemaker" post when no trouble was being started until that attempt to do so. Now I suppose I have offended her.

posting at great risk i suppose. but to answer the original question -
alone - as in without pets of any description. it was just recently. i drove to the schoodic point area of acadia park here in maine. there are Huge boulders that the ocean crashes up against - stunning and dramatic on a
sunny day with the tide coming in. i just sat for a while contemplating and
enjoying my lunch - well sharing it with some oh so persistent sea gulls. a beautiful peaceful afternoon.

Quite a few years ago my husband(now ex)and I went camping in Yellowstone in September. I got up really early one morning and followed the sounds of bugling elk to a nearby meadow. I sat all alone and watched the elk approach each other from opposites sides of the meadow, stopping to bugle at each other along the way. When they reached each other they began to spar. I could hear their antlers clanking against each other in the cold morning air. I don't remember how long it lasted, but it's burned into my memory as if it were yesterday!

Sitting in a chair at edgeof Lake Louise, looking across the lake at the glacier far away..
It was a moment in time unlike another except maybe watching '"old faithful" erupt..
trying to pin this down to ONE time is difficult....
The great thing is I have to keep traveling to gather more moments !!!.

Virginia--call me kooky, but isn't there something really calming or peaceful about feeding wild animals? No, I don't mean feeding bear or anything like that, but some of my most memorable "me" time has been being somewhat alone and feeding aggressive little birdies or cute little squirrels....

I love to sit by the ocean. I'm usually content, but not alone very often.
Karenpj, I saw a post from you earlier this morning and mentioned it to my husband, thinking you might be trippinkpj. The I saw on the deleted thread that you are. Your posts are generally kind and helpful. I'm glad to see you back!
