N.Y City Theater question
 

I was wondering if anyone has seen "nice work if you can get it,." We want to see another play in new york. We loved "anything goes" "Jersey boys" and recently saw the Buddy Holly Story in PHl. Has anyone seen Nice work if you can get it? Thanks and any other musical recommendations would be appreciated.

Have not seen it, but I've heard mixed things about it. It did win several awards however. The Book of Mormon is probably the best around right now. Chicago, if you've not seen it, is also a good choice. For something more family friendly, perhaps Wicked. And if you'd be up for a non-musical, try One Man Two Guvnors.

Yes, I saw it (along with almost everything else currently playing). It's a lot of fun -- like Anything Goes, it's filled with great "old" music, quite a lot of dance (but not quite of the quality or exuberance of Anything Goes). The cast is excellent -- not everyone loves Matthew Broderick, but I think the part is perfect for his quiet, geeky character that he does so well. Kelli O'Hara is very good and sings beautifully, of course. And the two comedy characters both won best supporting Tonys -- Michael McGrath and Judy Kaye -- who nearly steals the show.

It's basically pretty silly nonsense, but just a good fun old musical (well, new musical with old music!)

I've sen it and was thoroughly carmed. Both Matthew Broderick and Kelly O'Hara were great. If you liked Anything Goes, you'll like this.

I totally agree with Doug's comments. A thoroughly delightful, fun show. Actually, we enjoyed it even more than Anything Goes, which we liked very much!
