N Wilkesboro NC area
 

In a moment of spontaneous consumerism, we agreed to be part of the NC landrush. We will be looking at a place called Chestnut Mountain Farms near N Wilesboro. Does anyone know this area? this development? Our deposit is refundable, but will be out the airfare and hotel if we pursue. We have been to NC numerous times, but most familiar with Asheville/Maggie Valley/Waynesville areas.

No money has exchanged hands yet!! This would be a place to build a vacation home for respite from Fla summers. Just trying to get a feel of the area. Do you know it?

It is the middle of nowhere. Spend money somewhere where there is something to do. It isn't "high" for views. It will still be hot in summer.
