Mystere seating question
 

We have decided to fit a show into our upcoming trip and based on what I have read here Mystere sounds perfect. At the TI website the only available tickets are in the last or second to last row. Has anyone seen th eshow from that far back? Is it still a great experience that far from the stage? Any comments would be appreciated.

Also is there any chance that day of show tickets (that are better) become available?

You will be able to see from that position, all the seats are pretty good and I doubt that there will be anything available on the day at all. Having seen both Mystere and 'O' in April I would recommend 'O' above Mystere and the tickets are not that much more expensive considering how much better the show is.

"O" did not have any tickets available on the website. Would I better my chances of getting good seats to either show by booking a room at either of the hotels where these shows are playing? It might be worth it to change our reservations to accommodate this, no?

I wouldn't do that. I really don't think there is a bad seat. Actually, you are better off a little farther away. It's a great show. We actually prefer it to "O". I've seen Mystere three times and "O" twice. They are both great shows. I doubt you will get seats the day of the show. I wouldn't count on it.

The last row seats for Mystere are just fine, because alot of the action is overhead anyway. You will crain your head less if you are further back. We sat in the rear section, saw everything well, and loved it. Staying in the Bellagio will not help you get tickets for O, unless you are a real "high roller" i.e., you gamble so much they fall all themselves to "comp" you with free meals and tickets. Otherwise, you might be lucky if there is a cancellation.

I would recommend taking whatever seats are available for Mystere. You should not miss this show.

When I went to "O", I had to order tickets exactly 3 months in advance of the day I wanted to attend, in order to get a seat at all. This may still be true. Mystere has been in Vegas longer, and therefore isn't the hot seller that "O" has been, but it is just as good. Some people actually prefer Mystere over "O". I say it's hard to compare. I loved them both.

See the show. It is not your typical Las Vegas fare. (Although other shows are trying to copy the essence of Cirque du Soleil these days. So, "typical las Vegas" is changing.)

I ended up in the last row seats and thought I would be disappointed, but in hindsight, they were great seats because of all the action taking place overhead. Don't hesitate to take these seats.
