Myrtle Beach in April

Where to stay in Myrtle Beach in April. We've never been there, want to see the sights, play golf, relax without breaking the bank. Saw some deals on travelocity for around 3000 dollars this includes airfare from spokane and rooms for 8 nights. We are willing to pay a little more if necessary. We would like to stay on the beach if possible, but only if it's worth the extra $$$.

I'd find out how much airfare is first. Is this "each"? Does it include golf fees? And where? Do they give the name of the hotel?

Gretchen is correct, research air fare and golf package separately prior to taking the $3,000. Sounds high to me for MB. Every hotel has golf inclusive deals, and April should be attractive pricing. The complication is that every hotel has different alliances with courses, so you need to know a bit about which courses are preferred. Likewise, make sure carts are included in your package. Unfortunately, some cart fees are more than green fees when not included.

April is an excellent time to do a golf visit to the Carolinas. You have peak condition and the families have not yet arrived on the beach.

Have fun.

Thanks for the help. I'll try researching hotel and golf packages and airfare. The $3000 dollars is for 3 people (airfare and hotel, no golf) Thanks for the tip about checking to see if carts are included. I'm not a golfer so I never would have thought of that.

susannewc, have a look at this resort:

http://www.seawatchresort.com/index.cfm

It has GREAT oceanfront views, has golf packages (we're not golfers), it's right on the line between Myrtle and North Myrtle, which was a really nice location. The realtors usually call this area "North Myrtle" though technically it's probably NORTHERN Myrtle Beach. I think it would be great here before the kids come in for summer. Don't rent from an agency call Condolux!!! Rent straight from the resort ... or look for a unit on VRBO, even. good luck!

One more question- We would be coming the first part of April, does this coincide with the college spring break scene?

Spring Breaks are usually the first part of March, and Easter next year is March 23. You should be okay the first part of April.

We've gone to MB in April more than once. The weather was beautiful, the flowers were in bloom, and no huge crowds. We usually find it cheapest to rent a condo so that we can eat breakfast in and buy snacks, drinks, etc. at the local grocery. Try VRBO or CRS we have rented through both and had wonderful beachfront 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos each time. Have a great trip!
