Myrtle Beach Hotel Near Great Bars
 

Can anyone suggest a hotel within walking distance or a short cab ride of great bars and nightlife? I'm getting away for the weekend and just want to kick back in a casual beach-bar type atmosphere and have some fun. Is there one area that has more of these types of places than others?<BR><BR>Any suggestions would be welcome!<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Dave

Bumz is oceanfront with great bands outside. It is next to the Breakers Resort. It is also within walking distance of Dirty Don's Oyster Bar. A short cab ride away would be Broadway At The Beach which has tons of bars in Celebrity Circle. Check out Stool Pigeons or Shuckers.

Stay near Broadway at the Beach. You'll like the variety of bars there. If you stay on the &quot;strip&quot; in Myrtle Beach, you'll find the bars to be cheesy and overrun with underage drinkers throwing up in the bathroom.

I agree with olivia and staying near Broadway on the Beach. Go to the Liberty Steakhouse and Brewpub and have a few pints of great homebrew during happy hour. They once made an oatmeal stout that was out of this world.
