Thinking of a long weekend in Myrtle Beach Easter weekend, April 22 - 26.

Websites say it will be at least in the upper 60s, most likely 70s. Whats your experience?

Also, where would you recommend staying in the north end, or north Myrtle, for 4 adults (2 sets of parents) and 4 older teens (17-19).

Would like an indoor pool just in case the weather sucks

The weather should be gorgeous. I'd go to pawley's/Litchfield.

Looking for a nice, fun resort with indoor pools, hot tubs ect in case the weather isn't good.

We prefer the north end of Myrtle Beach, or North Myrtle Beach.

Someplace with a lazy river would be nice too

We stayed in Myrtle Beach on Easter week a couple of years ago. It was glorious. Easter itself was 90 degrees. Sunny all week. We rented a condo in North Myrtle Beach at the Sands Ocean Beach club. They have a lazy river.

Avista in N. Myrtle Beach in ocean Drive has all the amenities you are asking about.

Its nice dreaming about fun in the sun while the snow falls.

Also, what kind of crowds should we expect Easter weekend, compared to summer crowds?

Good. When we're with the teens, we like having lots of people around, much preferring populated areas vs. smaller remote towns. For a romantic getaway, we might be interested in those smaller towns. But we really like having a vast variety of restaurants and amusements
Really looking forward to this trip; wish we could leave tonight!

I live here in N. Myrtle Beach and have never stayed at the Avista,but it sounds like a good place for what you want. Your teenagers would enjoy this area. Beach, shops, and restaurants nearby. Also the adults would enjoy walking around the main street of Ocean Drive. Yes, Easter is a busy time. We have a beautiful sunrise service every Easter that many people attend at the extreme end of the North area.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate this year. It was nice last year.

Not to put too fine a point on it but Litchfield will also be crowded but not like the gridlock of MB. It isn't "remote", has the best food on the coast between Murrell's Inlet and Pawley's, shopping, tennis, golf and a gorgeous beach. You should at least investigate going down for a delicious dinner or lunch.

I would suggest North Myrtle Beach. The teens will especially enjoy it. I also agree that you should make a point to drive to Murrells Inlet for the best seafood around! The marshwalk and the entertainment is fantastic too! I found great info about hotels, dining, and the weather reports at www.carolinasandandsurf.com
