Sherrie, <BR> <BR>I am so glad you asked! There is a wonderful family-owned Italian restaurant called Villa Romana at 707 S. Kings Highway. Phone is 843-448-4990. (I have all this info because I keep their biz card in my wallet so I'll remember where it is next time I'm at the beach.) <BR> <BR>Anyway, the food is incredible and the service is fabulous. It's a little pricey, but not outrageous. You'll really enjoy it -- and go for the desserts.

For seafood, go down to Murrell's Inlet. For a great burger, try the River City Cafe.

I agree with Leigh. Villa Romana is great. There is an accordion player who plays wonderful Italian music. He has a terrific sense of humor, and banters with the diners. Very entertaining. Also, the owner, a spry octogenarian, comes out to greet diners at their tables, and sometimes begins to dance to the accordion player's music. She usually isn't doesn't come out of the kitchen until around 8 p.m. or so. If you eat early, you can take advantage of the early bird pricing, but you'll probably miss the entertainment. <BR> <BR>Also, we like Joe's Bar & Grill, on Highway 17 South, in North Myrtle Beach. (It's across from the House of Blues, just behind Rosa Linda's.) Don't be put off by the name, or the fact that, upon approaching it, it seems like an unappealing location. It's absolutely lovely, with great food and service. <BR> <BR>I also ditto everything that AC wrote. <BR> <BR>Have a good time!

Visited last month. Went to Murrells Inlet, Divines (sp?) It was great. Also, in Galleria shopping center, there is an Italian restaurant called Rossi's. Looked small, but once you were in there, it was really nice. Food was great, can highly recommend the seafood bisque.

Living in South Carolina already, when we go to the beach we like to go to Santa Fe Station. GOod mix on the menu--seafood and steaks..and the sweet hushpuppies are wonderful! <BR>Originals Benjamin buffet is nice, but almost too expensive.

Hi Sherrie, <BR>My family's M.Beach favorites: <BR>1) Dick's Last Resort: yes, I have 2 teenage sons who love this place. Be prepared for some down & dirty fun. <BR>2) Crabby Mike's: BEST seafood buffet we've ever had! The crab legs were excellent. <BR>Have fun!

What differnce does it make you red neck...who else goes to Myrtle Beach. Eat your fried seafood platter and shut up.

Go to Murrell's Inlet. Russell's, Lee's Inlet Kitchen are good. Inlet Crab Restaurant is our favorite. Bovine's has wood fired specialties. Hana's is the newest and most eclectic.For the best restaurant on the coast go to Frank's at Pawley's Island but make reservations.

T-Bones Steak House & Saloon @ Murrells Inlet is a great place to eat. Ribs steaks and seafood are all excellent. <BR> <BR>Located at 715 Pendergrass Ave. at the corner of US 17 in Murrells Inlet.

We visited the week before Thanksgivings. Thoroughbreds is definitely a step above the average MB fare. Attractively decorated, acceptable selection, good quality and service at reasonable prices ($25 per entre ala cart.)<BR><BR>For Carolina Coastal seafood, we liked Martin's raw bar at MBN on 17N (near Carabas). Excellent roasters, grilled grouper & tuna. Definitely would go back.<BR><BR>Still like Nance's in Murrel Inlet and Gulfstream Cafe in Surfside. Nance is linoleum floor, formica table with hole in the middle, roll up your shirt sleeves shell and slurp. Gulfstream has an excellent inland waterway view, white table cloth, upscale menu.
