Myrtle Beach Accomodations ?
We are checking out accomodations in Myrtle Beach and have seen two-Dayton House and Roxanne that look pretty nice. Does anyone have any info on either of these. We'd prefer to be in a more quiet area since we have a little one. We are looking at visiting sometime in September.

The Dayton House and Roxanne are not in quiet areas.
Look at instead: Beach Cove Caravelle Ocean Creek Marriott Kingston Plantation (Embassy and Hilton on property) Sea Watch Resort |
Ocean Reef is in a quieter section. We stayed there last year. It's a decent place and I would stay there again if I was looking for quiet.

Thanks! Just curious, are Dayton House and Roxanne as nice as they appear on their website?

We like Forest Dunes. It's in a very quiet location. There are other hotels around, but it is in a somewhat residential area. Very quiet and nice.

Forest Dunes is in a great residential section and the beaches aren't crowded.
Mr.GoTravel and I are spending the weekend at Kingston Plantation this weekend. http://www.kingstonplantation.com/ |
pzap, notice how they don't show hotels on either side of the Dayton House complex or The Roxanne? Because they are crammed in between other hotels.

I'm sorry I don't have information about these two properties. We stayed at the Marriott over July 4th. Beautiful family oriented property and quiet location. If your little one is old enough, they have a small water slide which is fun even for us grown-up folks. The beach off the property is expansive. Resort is pricy, but well worth it!
Have fun with what ever you choose! |
