Myrtle Beach
Going to Myrtle Beach 03.12.06 for daughters cheerleading competition. Looking for somewhere for the "cheermoms" to have moms night out. Also looking for reasonable places to eat dinner. Will be there 7 days! Any help is appreciated!

I would highly recommend having your night out at "Broadway at the Beach"
(a neat shopping and restaurant place, complete with aquarium), or taking in a live show at the Alabama Theater or Dixie Stampede. |
A few budget-friendly places to consider are:
River City Cafe (21st Avenue North, near the beach); Bonefish Grill (it's a chain, but a good one, fairly reasonable for a good seafood dinner); Ultimate California Pizza (Kings Highway, at approx. 25th Ave North); and a great little Asian bistro on the south end, called E-Noodles (take Kings Highway to 20th Avenue South, take a left--it's across from the K&W Cafeteria. |
Thanks for all the information so far!! A mom going with us said something about a place called the Freaky Tiki! Sounds kind of scary to me LOL. We are looking to have dinner on moms night out and have a few drinks and maybe karoke???

The Freaky Tiki would have been interesting; it was a big teen-early 20s hang-out. But the Freaky ran into a little problem with unauthorized girls-gone-wild type activity, and a local judge shut it down for at least Summer 06.
I think you would be happier at any of these places. Crocodile Rocks (dueling pianos, crowd participation); Revolutions (retro 70s/80s dance club); Froggy Bottomz (which I believe has karoake); or even Sr. Frogs (yes, the Cancun free-for-all bar, but probably a bit tamer here) all at Broadway at the Beach, as tcapp mentioned above. |
