Looks very pretty! So is this one of your favorites on island? We are going to be in Oahu 3 nights and are staying at Ihilani. We will probably eat in Waikiki area one night. Which one restaurant would you pick? I read about beautiful restaurant in Halekulani but that was pretty expensive. Is Cabanas as pricey as that? We are not real "foodies" but we do like good food. My DH likes steaks and seafood and I like variety! We will probably eat at Roy's on Maui since we will be there more nights. The other place I am thinking about is the Duke's Canoe Club - probably not best food in Honolulu but sounds like a fun atmosphere. It was recommended to DH by one of his tennis buddies.

Thanks for sharing an insider's information!

Islandmom: Thanks for the tip. This place looks perfect for our last night in Hawaii. Our plane leaves at 10:15pm to come back to Florida so maybe this would be a terrific end to what I'm sure will be a wonderful trip!!!

The menu is posted on the site and the food is made to share. So eventhough an entree' may be $20 - it's really $10 each. Everything was Gourmet! They have lots of seafood- not my thing though. Mango butter with bread sticks, chicken satay, kalua/apple pork, great steak, baby green salad, you can even make samores at your table! The ice tea was even excellent! Try to get there by 5:30 to enjoy the sunset more than a few minutes. The service was excellent. It felt like another world. It's outside of Waikiki on the back side of Diamond Head.

Duke's food isn't that great. We just went again last week for the view. The best food deal/taste is their breakfast buffet.

Doesn't the sun set on the other side of the island and not over the water here?

You get very nice sunsets in Waikiki as you are on the south side of the island, watching the East to west horizon

Aloha!

Thanks for the tips, islandmom! Very timely too I might add...

We leave in about a month, I hope those yummy-sounding bars are still at starbucks.

I'm traveling with a friend...we'll be in Waikiki and away from our husbands for Valentine's Day. We'd like to go out for one nice dinner, maybe we'll try the place you posted. Do you think we should make resies in advance since it's V-day weekend?

Mahalo!!!

Islandmom, looks beautiful. I've been married twice as long as you have and romance is always possible! ;)

I didn't see the ball of the sun, but got great sunset shots. Pink and blue sky. Yes, make reservations.
