Must see shows?
 

What are the latest "must see" shows in New York at the moment? I want to get some booked for Christmas and the New Year but am unsure what the good ones are. Thanks

Hairspray has gotten good reviews.

First, a bit of advice: Whatever shows you decide on, get tickets now. You are coming at the peak theater season of the year.<BR>The previous poster is correct. Hairspray is the latest "must see" show. However, its not the only one. Though having run much longer, The Producers, Mamma Mia and The Lion King are still the other three hot tickets.<BR>In the case of all four, again the advice: Get tickets now.

Not new, but Lion King, Producers, The Full Monte, Hairspray, and if you're here while it's still playing, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular is fun.<BR><BR>A must see is also Mama Mia.<BR><BR>I'm sure you'll enjoy anything you see. There aren't too many BAD shows going at the moment.

We were there last week and saw Hairspray and Mamma Mia. Both were great but I'd REALLY recommend Hairspray. It is fabulous! Tickets are hard to come by. I got lucky and got mine on ebay.com and we were in the first row of the balcony....great seats! Carla

Thinking of what to book for an upcoming trip. Will see the Lion King, but would Hairspray be appropriate for a nine year old? Thanks.
