Must Have Creme Brulee!!
My sister and I are going to see Wicked on the 6th of July and we would like to have dessert and coffee after the show. My sister is a creme brulee addict, so that specific dessert is a must. Can anyone suggest a restaurant near the Gershwin Theater that has great desserts?
Thank you so much for your time. |
That's funny - it's my husband's favorite too and he orders it every chance he gets. My best friends makes it for us every New Year's Eve and no one can top her recipe. However, the next time we are in Chicago we are going to try it at LaSardine. I have read this place is fabulous:

I would suggest Cafe 123 as the BEST cream brule I have ever had. The cafe is on W43rd between 6th and 7th Ave and has alot of after theatre diners.
Enjoy Wicked. |
Hey, Cremebruleaddict, I must have had a brainfart. I don't know why I was thinking Chicago, sorry.

You will love Wicked. My husband and I just saw it for our anniversary. Enjoy!

Now you know what to get her for next gift-giving event - one of those kitchen torches so she can make her own.

I believe it was Le Cirque who first made the dessert "famous." I would try their version at Osteria del Circo on west 55th st.

I can confirm it is on the menu at Chez Josephine, on 42nd Street west of 8th Avenue. It's also a great place. I was there last night and that's what my friend had.
Place is owned by one of the children of Josephine Baker. |
