Must do in oahu
What are the things that i must do when i go to oahu. Cheap places to shop and restaurants to eat?

A few of the must do activities include, Diamond head, Pearl Harbor, Polynesian cultural center, Lanikai Beach, and Hanauma Bay - See source 1 below for the full list. The best cheap shopping areas are The Aloha Stadium Swap meet and the International Marketplace as you can further bargain discounted prices (see source 2 for more details). There are lots of really good restaurants in Waikiki, depending on what you are looking for. Source 3 below provides a list of restaurants you can sort by cuisine, price as well as maps, direction etc.

I just go to the beach every day, I don't "do" a thing.
:-) Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace, Arizona Memorial/Pearl Harbor, PCC, DiamondHead and Hanuama Bay are most people's musts. |

*Pearl Harbor and the Arizon Memorial. Be sure to take in the short film if they still show it. Very moving.
*Hike Diamond Head to the top. Pretty easy, except for a long flight of stairs toward the top area. *Hike up to Makapu Lighthouse. Might see some whale if you come during the season. *Beaches? Tons of them to relax at. But for wave watching, assuming they're up, take a drive along the north shore. Parking may be difficult since everyone likes to wave watch, but it's a cool sight. *Stroll around Waikiki. Much improved over the years. Locals even frequent the place more. *Hanauma Bay. For me, it's too crowded and overrated, but many seem to love it. Not too many cheap places to shop in Hawaii. Swap meets, International Marketplace (filled with kiosks) are your best bet. To eat? Nice special occasion dinners (also expensive): Nobu in Waikiki and Roy's in Ko Olina. Other less expensive places: Zippy's, Hapa Grill (in Kapolei). |

This has many good low cost or free things also avalable at the Honolulu airport along with several booklets with coupons and discounts like Go Oahu, Oahu Gold and Best of Oahu.
