Music and Dining in Asheville

Going to Ashville for a Ben Harper Concert at the Orange Peel in June. I am looking for suggestions on dining, accomodations and places to hear good Blues, Soul, Funk and / or Rock Music. and what are the must sees in the area.

EAM, you've said twice before that your friends are going to Asheville and not you. Strange.

You haven't received any responses on your previous two posts. My best guess is that it seems you have done absolutely no research before you post your question. There is a LOT of good information on Asheville on this board. It's a popular destination with lots of ideas already posted by Fodorites.

My suggestion would be to do a bit of research (type Asheville in the search box above) and do some reading. Then. come back with specific questions.

There is SO much info on dining, accomodations and must sees in the area. Happy reading!

Thank You.
My extra posts were an effort to get the post in the right forum topic. I got some help with that and now I know. I should read though. Yes my friends are going, I was and can't now but am trying to help them.

Here are two links you might find helpful:

Also, if your friends have never experienced the Blue Ridge Parkway, stretches of that road to the north and the south of Asheville are absolute must-sees.
