Murder, Scandal & Ghosts - Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills

Our travels through interesting sights in California took us to Beverly Hills 90210 and a mansion that has been a witness to murder, suicide, intrigue, scandal, and, yes, even ghosts! Greystone Mansion & Gardens offers ranger-led tours on five Saturdays during the year, so Tracy and I visited the Doheny Family estate on April Fools Day. Not only did we see a fantastic home & gardens, but our ranger regaled us with the story behind the elder Doheny's fortune, his involvement in the Teapot Dome Scandal, paranormal activities and the murder-suicide of his son (or was it) who resided at Greystone Mansion. Come with us beyond the gates of Greystone Mansion & Gardens…if you dare!

Understand that the generosity of your reports are greatly treasured. Visually, humorously, educationally. Always thoroughly entertaining.

Tom,

Thanks for a fascinating report! How can I be a Native so Californian and have never heard of this place?! I thought our parents took is everywhere! Evidently not. But by the time Greystone was open to the piblic, I was out of college and living elsewhere.

Thanks again for the report. So interesting. I will have to see the movie. DD Lewis is one of my favorites.
