munich or prague
hello,
we are planning a trip to Austria in Jan. We fly into Munich and have 2 days before we meet our party in Zel am See. Is it worth the trip for a few days in Prague? Should we travel by train or car? We will have our snowboard bags with us so the train seems like it might be hard? We are mostly looking to walk around and look at buildings, eat good food and go to some nightclubs. Thanks for any advice. |
This post ended up on the US board, so you will probably get more responses if you repost on the Europe board.
As it is here though, I will put in my 2 cents :) Munich is a terrific city with plenty to see, so since you've only got 2 days and are flying into Munich, I would be inclined to stay there and make the most of your time rather than spending time travelling to Prague. |
Prague is 1000 times more interesting than Munich ... based on a recent trip. Look into it more before deciding.

I'd vote for Munich and getting over jet lag since you only have 2 days. Save Prague for when you have more time.

Prague wins hands down but with only 2 days I suggest Munich

Munich is very interesting and you can take in a lot in 2 days. Just stay there!

We spent a week in Munich and found plenty to see and do. If I had only two days, I would definitely stay in Munich.

never been to munich but prague was fantastic, there is plenty to see in two days. well worth looking into before you travil.

Two more reasons in favor of visiting Munich before Austria: they both use the same language and currency.
