Muir Woods vs Armstrong
 
We'll be staying in Belmont near SF in late June and want to do a day trip to see some Redwoods. We are doing the Alcatraz night tour at 6:40 pm the same day. Will we have time to get up to Armstrong and back for our tour or should we just do Muir Woods?

A leisurely day at Muir Woods should do it--especially if you can find a quiet glen away from the crowds.

Armstrong is about 1 1/2 hours each way.
